The Power of Diverse Experiences
Background
My career started in the unpredictable and fast-paced world of politics, advocacy, and public service. As a Field Representative for U.S. Senator Ben Nelson, I provided a critical link between the Senator’s constituents and his legislative activities in Washington, D.C. In 2012, I was tasked with running the Nebraska Coordinated Campaign, where I oversaw a $6 million budget, 28 regional offices, and a staff of 350. In 2013, I transitioned to corporate America, where I worked in marketing departments eventually reaching the position of Brand Marketing Manager at IKOR International. In 2018, I started my own consulting practice and gained invaluable experience owning and operating my two distinct firms.
Experience
Most political operatives will tell you that politics is a people business. While I don’t disagree, I’ve also come to appreciate how much I learned about managing volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity in my early career. Those lessons served me well as I managed the implementation of new operational software at IKOR, coached franchisees through unexpected challenges at Right at Home, and collaborated with disaster recovery coordinators following the 2019 Nebraska floods and throughout the COVID pandemic.

My approach is a balanced blend of innovation and practicality. I prioritize understanding an organization’s unique dynamics before suggesting changes. While I value strategies with a proven track record, I’m equally committed to staying updated with the latest in technology and business practices. This ensures that I combine the best of emerging trends with tried-and-true methods, aiming for optimal outcomes from the outset.
