I would not be enjoying the success I am today if others had not given generously of their time to help me; so I believe it is important to “pay it forward” and help others in their professional endeavors. One of the most rewarding avenues I’ve found to pay it forward is by volunteering with SCORE.
SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors having provided education and mentorship to 11 million entrepreneurs since its inception in 1964. SCORE is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration and has over 10,000 volunteers in more than 300 chapters across the United States. The training I’ve received to be a SCORE counselor has been invaluable in my professional development.
In addition to being a mentor for Greater Omaha SCORE, I’ve put my marketing and graphic design skills to use for the chapter designing various promotional materials – from floor banners to flyers and brochures.
